Battle Monument at Trophy Point

Trophy Point contains Links from the Great Chain and cannon & guns seized during various Campaigns by American Troops. It is the location of the Post Flag Pole and Cannon which is fired at Reveille and in the evening to notify the Post of the Raising and Lowering of our Flag.

Beginning shortly after the Civil War, a drive was begun to Honor the Soldiers of the Regular Army who died fighting to preserve the Union. Battle Monument was erected in 1897.

In line with and below the Flag Pole is a Statue of Major General John Sedwick – Class of 1837.
